It’s another snow day. We got several inches of snow over the weekend, and it’s bitterly cold. Temps reached far below zero last night. At least we got some sunshine today. I think we made it all the way up to 18 degrees.
There was no school today, yet the school was open for their babysitting services. I still haven’t figured this one out. How is it that it’s too dangerous to come to school to learn but not too dangerous to come to school and be babysat all day?
How many children did I see outside shoveling driveways and sidewalks today? Not a one. Instead, I saw adults out using snow blowers while the kids stayed indoors watching television and playing video games.
State of the Hood: Poor and declining.
