A school in Michigan cancelled its annual peanut butter drive after one parent voiced her concerns over peanut allergies. Mind you, this was an annual event and there have not been concerns or even a problem with peanut allergies from the drive as of yet. The jars were brought to school sealed and kept away from the students in the principal’s office.
I have dealt with severe food allergies most of my life. As a parent with a child with severe peanut allergies, I understand the concern. Do you think this school over reacted or do you think they did the right thing?
