Will Common Core Affect the Home Educated?

Advocates say the SAT, ACT, AP and GED exams have to change to reflect things like the Common Core’s new emphasis on non-fiction and instructional texts, and problem-solving emphasis in math. But Swasey says it’s an overreach of government that takes away parents’ choice.

This is how Common Core will affect nearly every student in America regardless of whether they attend a government school, private school, or home school.  If these tests are changed to reflect Common Core, then all students will need to study those concepts or do poorly on the test.
