Just across the state line less than 15 miles away in Kansas City, Kansas, is the General Motors Fairfax assembly plant. I’m glad he’s going to Ford and not GM. I hope it serves as a reminder to everyone that businesses can and do function well without the help of the government.

The White House announced Friday’s visit to the Clay County village of Claycomo on Sunday. The visit is part of a weeklong effort to draw attention to the economic recovery five years after the Lehman Brothers collapse.
