How cool is this?  Are wi-fi enabled sneakers next?  How about it, Nike?

It could be the ultimate expression of the digital age – Wi-Fi enabled park benches.

Birmingham will be the first city outside London to get the electronic seats, increasing the area’s 4G coverage.

UM London and out of home planning and buying specialist Rapport have collaborated with Ministry of Experience to bring Wi-Fi enabled benches to Birmingham.

Promoting cloud-based productivity software, Office 365, superfast 4G Wi-Fi has been added to benches in Victoria Square and Colmore Square.

The park benches have been designed to be environmentally friendly, being made from 100 per cent recycled plastic and with power generated by renewable energy sources.
