NC Department of Social Services has recommended more regulations on homeschooling.
Lynn Paddock, who was convicted of first-degree murder and felony child abuse . . . home schooled her seven children.
13-year-old Tyler McMillan died while tied to a tree. Father Brice McMillan and stepmother Sandra McMillan, who face first-degree murder charges, were illegally home schooling their children, Bindrim said. (Emphasis mine.)
Why can’t our legislators figure out that laws and regulations only effect law-abiding citizens? One family was homeschooling illegally, and the other child was only four years old. More laws and regulations are not going to help these children. The problem is not homeschooling. The problem is child abuse.
